Pro Action of Steuben and Yates, Inc. was established in 1965 with a mission to combat poverty and improve the quality of life for low-income individuals and families in Steuben and Yates counties. Over the years, the organization has evolved to meet the changing needs of the community. The agency's philosophy in addressing poverty has also evolved, incorporating evidence-based practices and holistic approaches to better serve the community.

Yates Office of Aging Driver- $16.75-$17/hour

Pro Action’s Yates Office of Aging program is looking for a full-time, 30 hour a week, Driver that will follow a written schedule and transport customers in agency vehicles to various community locations, and complete daily documentation. The ideal candidate will have basic organizational skills, basic computer skills, ability to interact with customers from a variety of backgrounds and ability to follow written instructions.

A High School Diploma or equivalent is required for this position. 

The ideal candidate must have and maintain a valid driver’s license, meeting agency standards per position and consistent, reliable transportation that will allow regular travel in and around the service area. Agency Driver Record History standards information can be obtained by calling Human Resources at 607-776-2125. The candidate must also complete an annual DOT physical.
