Job Title: Sales Supervisor and Customer Service

Position Summary:
The Customer Service and Sales Supervisor plays a critical role in managing key customer accounts, processing incoming orders, coordinating transportation and logistics, and supporting the company’s sales growth strategy. This role requires a proactive leader with strong communication and organizational skills, capable of managing both existing accounts and new customer acquisition initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
Order Management & Customer Communication:
- Receive and process daily customer orders via phone, email, and internal systems
- Confirm feasible delivery dates in collaboration with production management
- Update and maintain the daily production schedule
- Send order confirmations after shipment dates are finalized
- Provide customers with timely updates regarding order status and shipment information
- Maintain open order files and production status tracking
Freight & Logistics Coordination:
- Arrange cost-effective LTL and full truckload shipments
- Negotiate rates with brokers and carriers
- Coordinate pickups, track deliveries, and resolve shipping issues
- Reconcile freight invoices with accounting
Customer Account Management:
- Maintain strong relationships with key accounts, ensuring consistent satisfaction and retention
- Develop new business opportunities in line with the company’s sales strategy
- Prepare credit reference documentation for new customers and liaise with accounting for verification
Administrative Duties:
- Maintain a structured digital filing system for customer documentation
- Conduct market research to support customer acquisition and strategic sales planning
Required Experience & Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in customer service, inside sales, or account management—preferably in a manufacturing or logistics environment
- Working knowledge of freight and transportation logistics
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Word)
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar ERP software preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on delivering outstanding customer service
Education & Certifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, or related field preferred
- Valid driver’s license
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
- Office-based role with occasional walkthroughs of the manufacturing plant
- Regular use of phone, computer, and office equipment
- Must be able to remain seated for extended periods
- Light physical activity (lifting up to 10 lbs occasionally)
- Occasional travel required (3–5 times per year, domestic only)
Authority & Decision-Making:
- Oversight of order processing and distribution
- Approval of shipping terms and rates
- Collaboration with production for scheduling and priority decisions
- Customer issue resolution, credit processing, and invoice review
