Salary Range: Salary based on degree, experience, qualifications and productivity:
B.A. degree : $11.25 per unit (15-minute units) up to $67.50 per session/ per client (for up to 1 ½ hours per session/per client)
M.A./M.S./MSW degree : $12.50 per unit (15-minute units) up to $75.00 per session/ per client (for up to 1 ½ hours per session/per client).
Work Hours: Per-diem5 to10 hours minimum per week. Schedule varies based upon client’s availability
Location: In the Community (Face to face)/ Virtual Sessions on a case-by-case basis.

About Program:
CFTSS is an intensive community-based approach designed to help children and adolescents with behavioral health issues and their families. Providers work in teams to help children/youth and their families build skills for better managing behaviors, to enhance their ability to meet the unique needs of a child/youth, and to support families so that they may be more successful together. One of the fundamentals of CFTSS is that children are most successful at recovering from their problems when their caregivers are fully involved and committed to working alongside them. CFTSS services give children/adolescents (under age 21) and their families the power to improve their mental health, well-being and quality of life.
All CFTSS services are provided in a variety of settings including community locations where the child/adolescents live, works, attends school, engages in services and or socializes.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Community Psychiatric Supports and Treatment Services (CPST) will provide community-based counselingservices in the home and other natural community-based settings , to children/youth from the age of 0- 21. Services are goal directed supports and solution-focused interventions intended to address challenges associated with a behavioral health need. CPST services must be part of the treatment plan, which includes goals and activities necessary to correct or ameliorate conditions discovered during the initial assessment visits. This is a multi-component service that includes counseling, psychoeducation, strength-based service planning and skill building. The Community Psychiatric Supports and Treatment Services provider provides community-based services to children and families who may have difficulty engaging in formal office settings but can benefit from home and/or community-based therapy and rehabilitative services. The goal is to restore, rehabilitate, and support a child’s/youth’s functioning as necessary for integration as an active and productive member of their family and community, to achieve minimal on-going professional intervention, and to develop and apply skills in natural settings.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the child/youth and family/caregivers to achieve stability and functional improvement in daily living, personal recovery and/or resilience, family and interpersonal relationships in school and community integration.
- Develop a treatment plan with the child/family to restore functioning and/or ameliorate behavioral health symptoms.
- Provide counseling for the purpose of alleviating symptoms or functional limitations associated with a child/youth’s diagnosed behavioral health disorder
- Provide crisis intervention when and if the child/youth experiences psychiatric, behavioral or situational distress
- Provide rehabilitative supports and psychoeducation to minimize the negative effects of behavioral health symptoms or emotional disturbances that interfere with the child/youth’s daily living; including improving life skills.
- Connect child/family to medically necessary rehabilitative services based on needs.
- As appropriate, make referrals to, and maintain cooperative relationships with public and voluntary agencies, programs, services and facilities
- Accurate and timely completion of progress notes, treatment plans, required case records, reports and statistics as assigned.
- Participation in weekly supervision with a planned agenda.
- Participation in required trainings
- Perform such other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
· Graduate of an Accredited School of Social Work or equivalent Master’s level degree in counseling, psychology, art therapy or related field.
· Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of two years of applicable experience in children’s mental health, addiction, and/or foster care/child welfare/juvenile justice.
· Good writing/record keeping skills.
· Ability to navigate an Electronic Health Record.
· Ability and willingness to travel to client’s home, school, etc.
· Bilingual in Spanish and English is essential. (Not required)
· Understanding and appreciation of the roles of race, religion, ethnicity, sexual preference, and individual values as they relate to servicing clients and families.
