Patient Care Technician (PCT) – Contract Opportunity
Location: New York, NY 10032
Duration: 8 Weeks
Shift Schedule: Monday–Friday | 4:00 PM – 12:15 AM
Job Summary
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Patient Care Technician (PCT) for an 8-week contract assignment at a leading academic medical center in New York City. The ideal candidate will provide direct patient care support in a fast-paced recovery room environment while assisting nursing staff with daily patient care activities.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities and comfort care
- Monitor and record patient vital signs
- Support nurses and clinical staff with patient care duties
- Maintain accurate patient documentation
- Ensure patient safety and infection control compliance
- Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare teams
- Assist with transporting and positioning patients as needed
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Active BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of Nursing Attendant or Patient Care experience required
- Completion of an approved Patient Care Associate training program required
- Strong communication and patient care skills
- Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English required
