Sr SOC Consultant

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a SOC Playbook Consultant / Developer to support a fast-moving security engagement for a New York-based client. This role focuses on building and improving SOC playbooks, workflows, and response processes to support incident response and SOC maturity.

You'll work closely with SOC Analysts and SOC Engineers to help stabilize operations now and support future optimization efforts. The pay rate for this position is between $75 - $82 based on the candidates years of experience.

Day to Day:

-Create and refine SOC playbooks and runbooks for incident response and alert handling

-Design response workflows that improve speed, consistency, and clarity for SOC teams

-Partner with SOC Analysts and Engineers to align playbooks with real-world alerts and tools

-Support security platforms such as CrowdStrike, Nozomi, and SIEM tools

-Document processes and contribute to reporting and continuous improvement

Skills and Requirements

8+ years of experience in SOC, Incident Response, or Security Operations

Hands-on experience building playbooks, workflows, or runbooks

Strong understanding of SOC processes and alert triage

Experience working with SIEM and endpoint security tools Experience with CrowdStrike and/or Nozomi
