Emerging Tech is seeking a skilled Project Manager to lead and coordinate the NYC Department of Educations Strategic IT Governance Operations Support Program. As the primary point of contact for the DOE, the Project Manager will oversee the entire project lifecycle, manage cross-functional teams, and ensure the on-time delivery of strategic IT governance initiatives. The ideal candidate is a proactive and detail-oriented professional with proven experience managing complex enterprise IT projects, governance frameworks, and multi-stakeholder coordination within public sector or large institutional environments.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Lead comprehensive project planning efforts, including resource allocation, timeline development, and proactive risk management.
• Coordinate and facilitate status meetings, stakeholder communications, and change management across multiple concurrent workstreams.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for project issues and risks, driving timely resolution while maintaining stakeholder transparency.
• Produce and deliver regular status reports, dashboards, meeting minutes, and time tracking documentation aligned with DOE reporting requirements.
• Maintain centralized, up-to-date project documentation to ensure compliance with contract deliverables and governance standards.
• Support quality assurance processes and strategic planning efforts to meet or exceed contract and stakeholder expectations.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum 6 years of experience managing IT projects, preferably in enterprise or public sector environments.
• Strong knowledge of IT governance frameworks, risk management, and performance tracking methodologies.
• Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or equivalent platforms.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams and stakeholder groups.
