Staff Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Staff Accountant with 2–4 years of experience to join our dynamic finance team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a passion for accounting, and is eager to grow within a high-performing team. You’ll play a key role in the day-to-day financial operations and work cross-functionally to support the broader business.

What you'll do

• Record and maintain financial transactions in compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements.
• Support accounts receivable operations, including invoice processing and payment tracking.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, financial regulations, and corporate accounting policies.
• Code all new invoices to the correct account and help manage approval process
• Monthly client billing and invoice preparation
• Project-level campaign reconciliation and cost tracking
• Ensure proper cost allocation to correct projects
• Assist with revenue forecasting and variance analysis
• Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue close
• Project setup, maintenance, and ongoing project accounting
• Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
• Support audits and compliance efforts as needed
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2–4 years of experience in accounting or finance
• Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles
• Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Workbook) and third-party invoice/billing systems (e.g. Coupa, bill.com )
• Strong in Microsoft Excel; able to analyze data and build advanced reports
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking
• Self-starter with a proactive attitude and a desire to grow in the accounting field
• Experience in media, advertising, or project-based accounting a plus

The pay range for this role is $60,000-$65,000
