• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 3x12-hour night shifts (19:00 – 07:30)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Orientation: 36 hours
• Scrub Colors: Navy and white
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2020 - $2080

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active New York RN license (required for NY nursing jobs)
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience as a Registered Nurse
• Med/Surg Telemetry experience in a hospital setting
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic charting system
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Recent acute care employment within the past 6 months
• Ability to manage patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:7
• No first-time US assignments
• Ability to float to other hospital units as needed
• No requested time off for Labor Day
• Travel nurses must reside more than 75 miles from the facility

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret cardiac dysrhythmias; respond to rapid response calls
• Administer oxygen therapy and perform non-invasive airway management
• Implement isolation precautions and maintain infection control standards
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, social services)
• Accurately document patient care using EPIC EMR
• Float to other units as required by facility needs
