The successful candidate will be required to:

· Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in his or her respective areas of specialization;

· Take part in curriculum development, be involved in interdisciplinary collaboration, develop and implement innovative research;

· Advise and supervise students at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels;

· Make a significant contribution to the department’s research output;

· Undertake an appropriate teaching and administrative load;

· Participate in campus-related and outreach activities.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

· PhD or Ed.D. in Research and Adult Education applications or related educational discipline;

· Teaching Certification;

· Demonstrated scholarly research;

· At least five (5) years’ experience of teaching in the related areas at the tertiary level.

Candidates who possess the following will be at a distinct advantage:

· General understating of educational philosophy;

· Experience supervising graduate and undergraduate students;

· Pedagogical and Andragogical training

· Experience teaching research using Quantitative, Qualitative and Mixed Methodologies

· Experience teaching adult education and training courses

· Evidence of prior grant acquisition;

· Administrative Experience within an Academic Institution;

· Evidence of Curriculum Development (face to face and distance delivery modes);

· Evidence of contribution to the Public Service OR field of study.
