Banquet Cook

Job Description:

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Banquet Cook to join our culinary team and support high-volume events, corporate functions, weddings, and other catered services. The ideal candidate will have experience working in fast-paced banquet or catering environments and a strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety standards.

• Prepare and cook a wide variety of menu items for large-scale events based on production schedules and chef direction.

• Ensure all food is prepared to the highest quality and presentation standards.

• Set up and break down banquet kitchen stations efficiently.

• Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the event chef or banquet captain.

• Assist in food prep prior to event start and maintain food quality throughout service.

• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of all kitchen workstations.

• Comply with all health and food safety guidelines and company policies.

• Support team during plated and buffet service, replenishing and rotating food as needed.

• Communicate effectively with culinary and service staff to ensure smooth operations.

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a cook in banquets, catering, or high-volume food service.

• Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, kitchen equipment, and food preparation.

• Must be punctual, professional, and work well under pressure.

• ServSafe certification or a food handler’s certificate is preferred.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

• Must be able to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required by events.
