Senior ux designer
Job DescriptionOur client, a fast-growing fintech startup backed by a large personal finance company, is seeking a Senior UX Designer to join its Servicing team, focused on crafting best-in-class experiences across mobile and digital platforms. This role plays a key part in translating strategic vision into user-centered design solutions that drive measurable outcomes. The ideal candidate has experience designing for native mobile (iOS and Android) and web experiences, as well as either built or helped build a design system. This is a full-time, direct hire role that will be hybrid onsite Tues-Thurs in either Charlotte, NC OR New York, NY. You must be currently located in the Charlotte Metro or NYC areas to be considered. Senior UX Designer Responsibilities: - Design End-to-End Experiences: Lead the creation of intuitive, engaging, and accessible user experiences across mobile and web servicing platforms. - Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with product managers, engineers, analysts, and operations to align design strategies with business goals and technical feasibility. - Data-Driven Design: Leverage user research, behavioral data, and customer feedback to inform design decisions and prioritize impactful features. - Rapid Prototyping & Testing: Develop wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to explore ideas and validate solutions through user testing and iteration. - Design System Stewardship: Contribute to and evolve design systems, ensuring consistency, scalability, and high-quality visual and interaction standards. - Strategic Vision Execution: Translate long-term product vision into actionable design initiatives that drive innovation and improve customer outcomes. - Agile Development Support: Participate in sprint planning, design reviews, and QA processes to ensure smooth implementation and maintain design integrity. - User Advocacy: Champion user-centered design principles throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring customer needs are reflected in every decision. - Clear Communication: Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders, balancing user needs with business objectives and defending design choices when needed. Senior UX Designer Qualifications: - Minimum 5 years of experience designing consumer-facing digital products in agency, startup, or early-stage environments. - Proven ability to collaborate with product managers and engineers. - Strong UX, visual design, and customer journey mapping skills. - Experience designing across platforms (iOS, Android, mobile web) required. - Experience designing or integrating AI or chatbot tools a huge plus!- Proficiency in Figma, Zeplin, and Jira. - Skilled in prototyping and communicating design intent. - Excellent presentation and communication skills. - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data, including financial information.
