Pay: $19.50/hour
Location: New Hartford, NY
Second Shift: 3:30pm - 12:00am

About the Role
A manufacturing facility is seeking a mechanically inclined Manufacturing Operator .. This position involves operating and maintaining manufacturing and testing equipment to support the production of specialty materials. Candidates should have hands-on mechanical aptitude, experience in a manufacturing environment, and a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate manufacturing equipment including melting, stripping, weighing, cutting, and welding for electrode production.

• Perform (VIM, VAR, ESR) melting and set up electrodes for production.

• Roll and generate test samples, ensuring proper setup and adherence to rolling procedures.

• Read, understand, and follow written procedures and work instructions.

• Maintain accurate production records and enter data electronically.

• Perform routine equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs.

• Carry out redraw, wire drawing, cleaning, and annealing processes.

• Prepare, inspect, and pack products for shipment.

• Receive, identify, store, and distribute materials and test samples for metallographic and mechanical testing.

• Safely handle hazardous materials and wastes in accordance with safety guidelines.

Required Qualifications

• Mechanically inclined with experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

• Ability to complete initial and annual hazardous waste training (training provided).

• Ability to work safely in a team-based environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Previous manufacturing or materials handling experience a plus.

Shift & Pay

• 2nd Shift (hours to be confirmed)

• Pay range: $19/hour (based on experience)
