Job Summary

Working as the Sous Chef for a brand new, gourmet French food and delicatessen outlet located at 1100 Avenue of the Americas, you are responsible for supporting the Executive Chef with the effective execution of culinary services for the 75-100 seat restaurant. Fauchon serves Breakfast, Brunch and Lunch Monday through Sunday and closes to the public at 4pm. The outlet will be open for private events in the evenings Monday through Friday. This location is scheduled to open at the end of September.

French Culinary Training is preferred for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Culinary Excellence, in collaboration with the Executive Chef and aligned with Fauchon and R/A brand standards
Manage a team hourly associates
Build outstanding relationships with clients and guests
Manage cost controls and controls expenditures for the account
Roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with marketing and culinary team

Preferred Qualifications:

Formal French Culinary Training, preferred
Some progressive culinary/kitchen management experience, depending upon formal degree or training
High volume production and catering experience
Previous experience managing cost controls
A passion for food
Desire to learn and grow with our company
