Machine Operator
Flexovit, a manufacturer of top-tier bonded abrasives and flap disc wheels, is on the lookout for a committed Machine Operator to bolster our team. Since 1977, we have been a trusted partner to North American foundry, railroad, welding, and machine shop manufacturers, thanks to our unwavering commitment to product safety, quality, service, and expertise. As a Machine Operator, you will be instrumental in upholding our standards of excellence by operating automated production equipment, conducting quality inspections, and troubleshooting as necessary.
Responsibilities
- Setting up and operating automated production equipment
- Conducting quality inspections visually and with the aid of gauges, scales and rulers.
- Troubleshooting and adjusting production equipment as required
- Completing paperwork and documentation pertaining to production processes
- Utilizing computer touch screens to operate equipment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to interpret and follow work instructions and flowcharts
- Experience with gauges, rulers, and scales
- Basic arithmetic skills
- Prior experience operating production equipment or working in a manufacturing environment (preferred)
- Physical requirements include: stand up to 8 hours; lift and handle up to 10 lbs. on a frequent basis, up to 25 lbs. on a regular basis, up to 50 lbs. on occasion; regular bending; work at a predetermined machine pace.
- Operate electric pallet jack.
Compensation
Starting pay $16.32 with potential to increase to $18.97 when fully trained.
