Restaurant Host

Bark Barbecue is opening a second 8,700 sq. ft. flagship destination in the heart of North Brooklyn (East Williamsburg/Bushwick) and is seeking hospitality professionals to join our opening team.

This is an opportunity to be part of an industry-leading buildout from the ground up, helping shape the systems, culture, and standards of a high-volume restaurant focused on exceptional barbecue, hospitality, and craftsmanship.

Position: Restaurant Host

Restaurant Hosts play a critical role in creating a welcoming first impression for guests while helping ensure a smooth and organized flow of service throughout the day. This position is responsible for greeting guests, managing reservations and waitlists, assisting with guest inquiries, coordinating seating, and helping create an exceptional hospitality experience from arrival to departure.

In addition to traditional host responsibilities, this role requires confidence managing guest flow in a high-volume environment. Hosts help organize lines, communicate wait times, maintain order during peak periods, and ensure guests feel informed and welcomed even during the busiest services.

This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy interacting with people, thrive in fast-paced environments, and can remain calm, organized, and hospitable while managing large volumes of guests.

Ideal Candidates

• Previous host, reservationist, restaurant, or hospitality experience preferred
• Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills
• Comfortable managing reservations, waitlists, and high guest volumes
• Confident engaging with large groups of guests and maintaining a positive guest experience during busy periods
• Professional, detail-oriented, and hospitality-driven
• Additional language skills, including Spanish or Brazilian Portuguese, are a plus but not required
