Director, PR & Communications

GlossGenius is seeking a Director of PR & Communications to craft and amplify the GlossGenius story across key audiences including investors, employees, customers, and the broader market. This role is ideal for a natural storyteller who can connect different narratives and build a unified brand vision. You will own external communications strategy and execution, translating product innovation and market momentum into compelling narratives that demonstrate GlossGenius’ category leadership.

Responsibilities will include:

• Use AI tools to accelerate content development, research, and media monitoring, including drafting and refining executive communications and tracking competitive coverage in real time
• Craft compelling narratives and communications strategies for investor, employee, and customer audiences
• Connect the founding story, product vision, and market opportunity in authentic and differentiated ways
• Build and execute media strategies and programs to earn coverage in top-tier business, tech, and industry publications
• Cultivate relationships with journalists and secure strategic placements to advance positioning
• Partner with founders and executive leadership on thought leadership content, speaking opportunities, and public positioning across owned and earned channels
• Draft and refine executive content including LinkedIn posts, blog announcements, keynote talking points, and media interviews

You’re a great fit if you:

• Have 8-10+ years in communications, including experience at a top-tier PR agency and running in-house communications programs
• Have a proven track record crafting narratives for fast-growing tech companies and brands with strong customer affinity
• Have experience managing integrated communications across investor announcements, employer brand, and customer marketing
• Can demonstrate a portfolio of earned media placements in business and tech publications
• Excel at storytelling and can make complex ideas compelling for any audience
• Think strategically and understand how communications efforts support broader positioning goals
• Balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution and attention to detail
• Are fluent with AI-powered writing, research, and media tools, using AI to enhance speed and quality while maintaining a human voice and judgment

Total Compensation

The starting base salary for this role is $200,000-$250,000 plus target equity and benefits. The base salary offered depends on skills, experience, and education.
