Gammon Cafe LLC is hiring Lead Hosts to join our team at 7 Spring!

Nestled on a vibrant block, 7 Spring is the first members club of its kind in New York City, converging timeless elegance, glamour and aesthetic. This 70-seat space is designed to foster a sense of community for those who share an interest in backgammon, imbibing, and dining.

The venue draws inspiration from bespoke European lounges where traditional luxury meets contemporary service. The food and beverage program is anchored by staples such as caviar, charcuteries, and more satiating options such as the roast beef and halibut dinners, served family style. Our wine list is carefully curated featuring an array of old world wines, while our refined cocktail offerings include house takes on classics as well as specialties.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Greets and seats guests, presents menus to guests, informs them of special catch and soups.
• Treats all guests in a manner to ensure their complete satisfaction. Always strives to exceed guests' expectations.
• Takes names on a waiting list.
• Runs the floor plan board.
• Observes tables and keeps track of clean, dirty and occupied tables.
• Takes guest information and quotes wait times to guests accurately when tables are not immediately available.
• Cleans, organizes and stocks menus at the host area.
• Answers phone and answers questions concerning the menu and restaurant.
• Interacts with guests as they arrive and as they leave the restaurant to ensure a positive dining experience.
• Performs other duties as directed.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience in a high volume, upscale restaurant preferred but not required
• Previous customer service experience strongly preferred
• Possesses and exhibits the drive to provide exceptional service.
• Full time flexible hours are required (able to work days, nights, weekends, holidays).
• Must be able to stand/walk for 8 hours; bend, push, pull; lift 30 lbs.
• Proficient or ability to learn computer skills including POS systems, Resy, Word and Excel.
• Positive and enthusiastic attitude
