The mission of West Point Association of Graduates (WPAOG) is to “Serve West Point and the Long Gray Line.” WPAOG is both the alumni association and foundation for the United States Military Academy (USMA) at West Point. The student body, or Corps of Cadets, numbers 4,400, and each year approximately 1,000 cadets graduate and are commissioned as second lieutenants in the U.S. Army.The West Point Association of Graduates (WPAOG) seeks a full-time, on-site Class Support Program Coordinator. this job offer reports directly to the Director of Class Services, who in turn reports to the VP of Alumni Support.
this job offer will provide administrative support to the Class Services Team, which includes multiple programs within the WPAOG (Class Ring Memorial Program, 50-Year Affiliation, WPAOG Membership, and Class Support). This is a customer-service, forward facing function, requiring excellent verbal and written communication expertise.
This individual must have excellent organizational expertise and practice in providing customer service. Attention to detail is essential. The incumbent will have to multi-task, simultaneously processing requests for assistance, working on projects, events, or administrative tasks, and building relationships with alumni volunteer leaders. Strong oral and written communication expertise are required, as well as a high degree of familiarity with information technology systems such as databases, spreadsheets, list servers, and websites. The capability to adapt to new technology is a must. The incumbent must be customer-, team-, and mission-oriented. The incumbent will establish collegial working relationships with co-workers, alumni volunteer leaders, government counterparts at West Point, members of our Association, and the public. At times, work after normal duty hours and on weekends will be required.
The individual will perform various administrative and technical tasks as needed, to include: maintaining and updating electronic records, reports, and e-mail list servers; submitting invoices and expense reports, running queries and reports; creating and assisting in the maintenance of group webpages on proprietary community platform; maintaining department program files; updating WPAOG calendar of events; creating, monitoring, and compiling surveys and voting sites; updating and ordering print materials; coordinating webinars, conference calls, and meetings; coordinating and ordering class paraphernalia, and performing administrative tasks related to the annual WPAOG Leaders Conference.
There may be other tasks as assigned by the Director.
A bachelor’s degree is preferred but a High School diploma is required. Incumbent must have practice with Microsoft Office Suite of products, along with 2-4 years’ practice in an administrative support function. Great customer service expertise and a pleasant, professional demeanor are required.
