Family Worker
Lewis County Head Start is seeking a passionate, dedicated Family Worker (Family Advocate) to join our Beaver Falls Head Start team. In this role, you will work with support staff and the center team to provide an overall comprehensive parent engagement program that supports parents being actively involved in their childs school readiness goals and parent engagement goals.

Visit each family at least three times per year, serving as a liaison between the classroom and family. Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to support children and families overall growth. Support teaching team with child/staff ratio requirements and meal times as needed. Monitor daily attendance and transportation arrangements. Collaborate with the center to share best practices and resources. Participate in periodic record reviews of each child with the management team. Monitor recruitment and application process. Facilitate parenting workshops and activities.Requirements
At a minimum a High School Diploma or GED and the desire to enroll in continuing education coursework. Tuition reimbursement available upon request. Experience working with families is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, and staff. Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for engaging parents in Head Start activities.
