Cleaner

SKJ Facilities Management has been a leading provider of cleaning services in the Southern Tier for over 25 years; offering permanent employment opportunities in a supportive and safe environment. We are currently seeking dedicated Cleaners in Corning . As a Cleaner, you will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of various facility areas, contributing to the overall satisfaction of our customers.

Currently opportunities:

• Monday - Thursday 4PM - 8PM and Sunday 4-8PM (20 hrs/wk).
• Worksite is a manufacturing environment (located near the Corning library).

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean assigned facility areas, including restrooms, locker rooms, breakrooms, offices, lobbies, conference rooms, and stairwells.
• Perform tasks such as vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, cleaning glass, emptying trash, dusting surfaces, polishing fixtures, sanitizing surfaces, and stocking and cleaning dispensers.
• Work a consistent, regular schedule to support the company's customers by creating a clean environment.
• Complete other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Honesty and integrity in all aspects of work.
• Self-motivated and desire to perform detailed cleaning duties. Prior cleaning experience is preferred but not required. Training is provided.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stamina to stand for long periods, walk, bend, push, twist, climb stairs, and reach high and low during shifts.
• Ability to work with cleaning chemicals, equipment, and tools to complete assigned tasks.
• Compliance with safety policies and procedures, including wearing necessary PPE provided by SKJ.
• Ability to read and write in English to read work-related information and complete checklists.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
