Role: Senior Accountant
Salary: $110,000 - $120,000/annually Bonus & Benefits Location: Manhattan, New York (*Hybrid - 3 days a week onsite*)
Core Responsibilities
Financial Reporting: Lead the end-to-end monthly and annual close; prepare/review complex journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
Financial Statements: Generate and analyze P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements for management review.
Compliance & Audit: Research technical accounting issues (GAAP/IFRS); serve as the primary liaison for external audits and maintain SOX-level internal controls.
Analysis & Strategy: Conduct deep-dive variance analysis (Actuals vs. Budget) and support the annual operating budget process.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement automation and efficiencies within the accounting function.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
Experience: 3–5 years of progressive full-cycle accounting experience.
Technical Skills: Advanced Excel/Google Sheets (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs); experience with Workday ERP is highly preferred.
Expertise: Expert-level knowledge of US GAAP; technical memo writing skills.
Certification: CPA is a major plus.
