At La Quinta Inn & Suites, we have an exciting opportunity for someone looking to lead our team and provide the best service for our guests as the next General Manager of our busy hotel. Do you enjoy bringing new and creative ideas to help drive revenue and building strong relationships with guests to gain repeat business? Our ideal candidate brings a high standard of service quality along with five or more years of hospitality experience, preferably in a hotel management role. As the General Manager , you will oversee HR matters, including interviewing, hiring, training, assigning work, coaching/counseling, and performance management. If this describes you, apply today!
Primary Responsibilities Include :
- Design a budget that guarantees customer satisfaction and quality of services while keeping expenses controlled and profit margins maximized
- Collaborate with hotel department leaders to define goals and objectives that are compatible with the overall hotel goals, as well as strategies for achieving them
- Provide the vision, leadership, and strategy that inspires your staff to deliver exceptional guest service that drives financial success
- Enhance the hotel's reputation for quality by inspecting the cleanliness and upkeep of the rooms, public areas, and surrounding grounds
- Construct and manage a straightforward and effective marketing strategy to promote the hotel's services and amenities
Successful Candidates Must Have:
- High school diploma or GED
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a similar field is a plus
- Previous experience as a hotel manager, assistant manager, or other hotel department manager required
- Exhibit excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- Must have at least 5 or more years of experience in the hospitality field
- Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment and adapt to change quickly
- Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Schedule varies according to business demands and needs
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and human relations skills that positively benefit interaction with staff, partners, and external clientele
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Must be detail-oriented, able to plan, prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Computer skills, with a strong working knowledge of the primary Microsoft Office programs
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
