Appliance Technician

Morehouse Appliances looking for a detail-oriented, customer-focused Appliance Technician. Our technicians are the face of our company: empowered to deliver top-notch service and drive company success by maximizing first call completes, thanks to rigorous triage and preparation before every job.

As an Appliance Technician, you will:

• Professionally triage every service call before visiting, accurately diagnosing likely issues so repairs can be completed on the first visit—this is crucial to our happy customers and profitable operation.
• Install, service, and repair appliances such as refrigerators, washers, dryers, cooking appliances, microwaves, ventilation, and dishwashers in residential and commercial settings.
• Swiftly respond to calls for repair and installation, performing root cause diagnostics, troubleshooting, and effective repairs using the latest tools and techniques.
• Prioritize safety at all stages, following company and industry protocols for electrical and mechanical work.
• Communicate thoroughly with customers, explaining appliance issues, repair options, and expected time frames; while answering clients’ questions about appliance features and upkeep.
• Manage and document parts usage, service work, and customer information via digital systems, ensuring all paperwork is complete and accurate.
• Maintain company vehicle, inventory, tools, and workspace to the highest standards.
• Collaborate with manufacturers and suppliers for warranty repairs and OEM training.
• Stay updated on new models, procedures, safety standards, and certification requirements through ongoing training (in-house and factory certified trainings) .
• Provide clear estimates, obtain customer approval, and handle billing and payment transactions.
• Work efficiently to maintain a consistent schedule, managing multiple service appointments per day.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and foster long-term customer relationships through reliable, informative, and courteous interactions.
  Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical or vocational training in appliance repair preferred, not required.
• Experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining household appliances preferred(washers, dryers, refrigerators, ovens, dishwashers).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for service visits.
• Ability to pass mandatory drug testing.
• Strong troubleshooting, mechanical, and electrical skills needed.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• Ability to use hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Refrigerant training/certification is a plus, especially for refrigeration work.
• Physical capability to lift heavy appliances and work in various environments.
• Proficient in record-keeping and basic computer skills for service documentation.
