Cook (Temporary)

As a Temporary Cook, you will play a vital role in preparing and delivering healthy meals to classrooms, ensuring food safety, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. This 12-week position is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, reliable, and passionate about supporting the well-being of children and staff. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals according to established menus and nutritional guidelines.
- Deliver prepared food to classrooms promptly and efficiently.
- Complete daily production records to document food preparation and distribution.
- Shop for food and kitchen supplies once a week as needed.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen, adhering to all local, state, and federal sanitation standards.
- Follow instructions from the Supervisor and adapt to changes in daily routines as required.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Ability to pass a physical exam.
- Ability to work on a schedule that may include interruptions.
- Willingness to take direction and work collaboratively with supervisors and team members.
- Ability to lift 40-50 pounds in emergency situations.
- Consistent punctuality and reliable attendance required.
Special Working Conditions
- May require lifting up to 50 pounds in emergency situations.
- Exposure to kitchen equipment, cleaning supplies, and electronic devices such as computers and printers.
- Possible exposure to inclement weather and noise during food delivery or shopping trips.
- Use of a company vehicle for shopping and food delivery, with driving on city streets and highways.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 2:45 PM.
