The Opportunity

As a Transfer Pricing Japanese Business Network (JBN) Intern you will engage in projects that involve analyzing financial statements, conducting tax research, and understanding international taxation principles. As an Intern, you will support teams by participating in projects, focusing on learning and gaining exposure to PwC's practices. You will perform basic tasks and conduct research while observing professional work environments, contributing to the team's success.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to delve into the intricacies of transfer pricing, working alongside experienced professionals in the Tax Services group. You will be involved in tasks such as financial modeling and legal document review, which are essential for understanding the financial and legal aspects of multinational business operations. This position offers a unique chance to develop your skills in corporate and financial structuring, providing a solid foundation for your future career in tax services.

Responsibilities

- Supporting teams in conducting transfer pricing analysis and documentation
- Participating in research related to Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) and international taxation
- Assisting in the preparation and review of financial models to evaluate corporate structuring strategies
- Engaging in tax compliance activities, including tax documentation and auditing processes
- Collaborating with professionals to analyze financial statements for business tax purposes
- Observing and learning about economic translation and its impact on global business structuring
- Contributing to tax dispute resolution efforts by gathering and analyzing relevant data
- Applying intellectual curiosity to explore structured transactions and their implications
- Developing an understanding of legal document review processes in the context of transfer pricing
- Supporting transaction services by participating in financial due diligence and integration activities

What You Must Have

- Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor's degree in at least one of the following field(s) of study: Economics, Accounting, or Finance
- Before starting full-time at PwC, meet the educational requirements to be eligible to sit for the CPA exam in your intended state of employment
- Business-level fluency in Japanese and English, with the ability to read, write, and speak both languages in a professional setting
- At least a 3.0 overall GPA
- Client service intern positions are entry-level roles intended for job seekers who are in their third year of a four-year degree program or fourth year of a five-year program at the time of application Winter internships typically occur during the spring semester preceding the student's final year of school Summer internships typically take place during the summer preceding the student's final year of school

The salary range for this position is: $29.25 - $48.00. For roles that are based in Maryland, this is the listed salary range for this position. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
