Cybersecurity Engineer

Job Description

· Architecture and Design

o Implement our architecture for identification, protection, detection, response, and recovery from cyber threats and identify gaps and opportunities.

o Take technical leadership in areas of excellence.

o Create security integration plans for existing infrastructure and future solutions.

· Security Operations

o Implement and manage security measures (e.g., firewalls, encryption, SEIM, DLP, IPS).

o Expand expertise in a few key tools and a broad understanding of our suite.

o Monitor networks and systems for security breaches and anomalies.

o Investigate security events and escalations.

o Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.

· Governance and Compliance

o Enforce security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance.

o Identify possible compliance issues with regulations and our guidelines.

o Perform system hardening according to our plans and identify any gaps.

o Support incident response and disaster recovery.

· Risk Management

o Identify, evaluate, and report on information security risks.

o Perform regular risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies.

· Education and Awareness

Educate staff on cybersecurity best practices.

Skills and Requirements

· Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and tools.

· Splunk expertise

· Tripwire experience

· Darktrace experience

· Experience with intrusion detection systems, firewalls, and cloud security.

Proficiency in risk identification and incident response.
