Quality Supervisor
QUALITY SUPERVISOR (Permanent) Our client, an international organization with a hub in WNY, is looking to add a Quality Supervisor to their team. This position oversees three (3) Quality Technicians.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day quality operations to ensure products uphold the highest standards, regulatory requirements, and comply with ISO 9001:2025 standards
- Maintain the ISO 9001:2015 QMS (Quality Management System)
- Act as the primary point of contact for quality issues affecting customer delivery, waste, and/or throughput
- Troubleshoot quality issues, product defects to determine the root cause
- Present realistic action plans to correct issues and improve processes
- Ensure products are developed, created, and finalized according to customer specifications by performing inspections
- Participate in the scheduling and execution of internal audits and management reviews
- Ensure all quality processes, issues, investigations, and training programs are documented properly
- Review customer complaints to determine and implement corrective action plans utilizing problem-solving tools such as 8D, 5-Why, A3, or Fishbone
- Analyze and track CAPs for effectiveness, providing data to support outcomes
- Collaborate with various internal team members to ensure operations run smoothly and highest quality standards are upheld
- Participate in and support continuous improvement projects, ensuring they align with Lean, Six Sigma, and/or Kaizen efforts
- Manage and train Quality Technicians and Production Associates on quality standards, identifying defects, and upholding best practices
- Juggle multiple tasks at a time in a fast-paced environment
- Work well in a team environment as well as independently
- Other duties as assigned/as necessary
Details:
- Position is full-time, direct hire
- 100% in-office
- $70,000 - $80,000 annually depending on experience
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Quality Management, Manufacturing, Engineering, or related
- 3-5 years’ experience Quality Assurance in a manufacturing setting
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 requirements
- Great interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Proficient computer skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Self-motivated
- Relocation not available
