Medical Receptionist

TEKsystems is urgently hiring a Medical Receptionist for one of the top healthcare networks on Long Island!

This role will be based out of Massapequa, NY with some travel to local offices required

Shift: Monday - Friday - hours between 8AM - 6PM

Specialist: Internal Medicine/Cardiology

Key Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression.
• Check patients in and out, verify insurance information, and collect required documentation.
• Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and route messages professionally and promptly.
• Process co‑pays, maintain patient records, and follow HIPAA guidelines.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to support smooth office workflow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior medical office or customer service experience preferred.
• Familiarity with EMR systems and basic medical terminology a plus.
• Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and provide compassionate patient service aligned with clients mission

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Massapequa, NY.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
