Shift Time: Night Shift (11:00 PM – 7:30 AM) OR Days( 7:00 AM-3:30 PM)
Schedule: 5 days per week | 37.5 hours per week

Position Summary

The Psychiatric Social Health Technician (PSHT) will support adult behavioral health patients on an inpatient psychiatric unit. This role involves assisting with patient care activities, maintaining a safe therapeutic environment, and working closely with nursing and clinical staff to support patients with mental health conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct support and monitoring for adult behavioral health patients
• Assist patients with activities of daily living as appropriate
• Observe, document, and report patient behaviors and condition changes
• Support crisis intervention and de-escalation efforts under clinical guidance
• Maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment
• Collaborate with nurses, social workers, and interdisciplinary team members
• Follow hospital policies, safety standards, and behavioral health protocols

• Department: – Adult Behavioral Health
• Care Setting: Inpatient Psychiatric Unit
• Shift: Night Shift (11:00 PM – 7:30 AM), Day shift is available

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a behavioral health setting
• BLS certification (AHA) – required
• Ability to work effectively with adult psychiatric populations
• Strong observation, communication, and documentation skills
