Title and Summary Senior Managing Consultant, Program Management, Advisors & Consulting Services Advisors & Consulting Services Services within Mastercard is responsible for acquiring, engaging, and retaining customers by managing fraud and risk, enhancing cybersecurity, and improving the digital payments experience. We provide value-added services and leverage expertise, data-driven insights, and execution. Our Advisors & Consulting Services team combines traditional management consulting with Mastercard’s rich data assets, proprietary platforms, and technologies to provide clients with powerful strategic insights and recommendations. Our teams work with a diverse global customer base across industries, from banking and payments to retail and restaurants. The Advisors & Consulting Services group has five specializations: Strategy & Transformation, Performance Analytics, Business Experimentation, Marketing, and Program Management. Our Program Management consultants lead clients through business transformations by implementing strategically important Mastercard assets and services to bring value and drive growth. They serve as the Center of Engagement across all stakeholders within Mastercard and the client’s organization. Roles and Responsibilities You will manage a portfolio of projects that support a strategy, a strategic change, or initiative with significant impact on the organization. You will manage complexity and inherent risks across a wide range of business areas, where there are strong interdependencies and shared resources, and you will manage benefits from their initial identification and definition through to the eventual realization and achievement of measurable improvements. - Lead complex client engagements across a range of industries and problem statements - Collaborate with project sponsors, delivery teams, and senior stakeholders to ensure the effective execution of client strategies - Establish governance structures, develop delivery plans, and manage budgets for the program - Identify new business opportunities and communicate to executives to pursue, leading sales calls and client development including proposal contribution Team Collaboration & Culture - Serve as a people manager to a squad of program management consultants - Provide expertise and day-to-day project delivery team leadership, supporting evolution of solutions with innovation and create a collaborative and inclusive environment for all levels - Manage relationship with internal Mastercard leadership and stakeholders and build the firm's intellectual capital - Effectively leverage subject matter experts to develop best customized solutions Provide on-the-job training, coaching, and mentorship to junior team members, including evaluating performance, and providing feedback Basic Qualifications - Undergraduate degree with work experience in project management and change management methodologies and techniques - 8+ years of Project Management experience - Exposure to financial institutions, payments, and/or consultancies - Experience coaching and managing teams across multiple projects and/or engagements with third parties - Experience managing key client relationships - Knowledge of business KPIs, financials, and organizational leadership - Ability to provide perspective on industry and marketplace - Advanced Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills - Use of AI in project management an asset - Ability to manage multiple tasks and clients in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment - Ability to communicate effectively in English and the local office language (if applicable) - Eligibility to work in the country where you are applying, as well as apply for travel visas as required by travel needs - Ability to travel to client sites on a semi-regular basis Purchase, NY Salary Range: $164,000-$262,000 Mastercard is a merit-based, inclusive, equal opportunity employer that considers applicants without regard to gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, disabled or veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
