Hours: 11:00 AM – 6:30 PM
Earlier start time may be available if needed, but the candidate must be able to stay until 6:30 PM.
Compensation: $30–$35 per hour
Start Date: August 31, 2026

A private family in Chappaqua, NY is seeking a reliable and proactive Full-Time Family Assistant to help support the smooth day-to-day running of their home. The ideal candidate is organized, dog-friendly, comfortable assisting with light household upkeep, able to prepare family meals, and willing to drive using their own car for errands and transportation needs.

Main Responsibilities:

• Assist with daily household support and general family assistant duties.
• Prepare breakfast and lunch for the son.
• Prepare dinner for the family of three at least three days per week.
• Drive using own vehicle for errands and transportation for the son.
• Handle grocery shopping and household errands.
• Assist with laundry and general household organization.
• Help with light housekeeping and maintaining a tidy home.
• Assist with basic household maintenance awareness, such as noticing issues and communicating when repairs or service are needed.
• Provide daily pet care for the family dogs, including walking once per day, feeding once per day, and letting them outside as needed.
• Keep the household running smoothly by taking initiative and following the family’s preferences.

Required Qualities:

• Prior family assistant, household assistant, or similar private home experience preferred.
• Must be comfortable with dogs and daily pet care.
• Strong cooking and meal preparation skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
• Organized and proactive.
• Able to take direction well and follow household routines.
• Comfortable driving and using own car for errands and transportation.
• Familiar with general household upkeep and maintenance needs.
• Flexible, helpful, and willing to assist where needed.
• Ideally located near Chappaqua, NY to ensure a manageable commute.

Cooking Required:

Yes. The candidate will be responsible for preparing breakfast and lunch for the son and preparing dinner for the family of three at least three days per week.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3+ solid years of family assistant experience in a private household.
• Excellent references from both current and previous employers.
• Ability to work independently.
• Must speak and be able to communicate well in English.
• Authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
• Valid Driver's license and clean driving record.
