Sous Chef

Unapologetic Foods is looking for a Sous Chef to join our team at NAKS ! If you thrive in high-energy kitchens and lead with intention, we want to meet you!

Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Maintain standardized recipes and systems that ensure exceptional quality, consistency, and efficiency
• Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and assist in managing food costs to maintain budgetary targets while minimizing waste and ensuring freshness.
• Work various stations during service and expedite as needed and directed.
• Follow systems and SOPs to drive operational efficiency and consistency
• Responsible for food quality and consistency of menu items during service to ensure guest satisfaction.

• Foster a positive, team-oriented culture by participating and leading trainings for both back of house and front of house staff

Required skills and expertise:

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a line cook or sous chef in a high-end, full service restaurant.
• Demonstrated culinary and knife skills.
• Possess a valid food safety certification and knowledge of food safety protocols and procedures.
• Must be able to lift/carry items up to 50 lbs. And push items up to 75 lbs.
• Must be able to walk/stand for extended periods of time, with frequent bending, twisting, squatting and reaching above shoulders.
• Passion for hospitality, food, and service excellence
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem solving skills
• Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays

The salary range is $70,000-$75,000 based upon experience. Benefits include health insurance, 401(k), PTO and dining discounts.
