Location: In-Person (Small CPA Firm – 10-12 Employees)
Position: Part-Time

We are a small, dynamic CPA firm with a strong focus on serving small businesses and individuals. With a team of 10-12 dedicated professionals, we pride ourselves on offering personalized, high-quality accounting services that make a difference for our clients. We are looking to expand our team with an experienced staff accountant who can contribute to the continued success and growth of our firm.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented, self-motivated staff accountant who has at least 3 years of experience in small business and personal tax accounting. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to work in a collaborative, close-knit environment. The position is available on a part-time basis and requires in-person work at our office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review individual and small business tax returns (including personal, corporate, and partnership returns).
• Provide ongoing client support and advice for tax planning and compliance.
• Maintain accurate and organized client records.
• Assist with year-end closing and audits as needed.
• Monthly bank reconciliations.
• Review and reconcile accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in small business and personal taxes.
• Proficiency in accounting software, including Lacerte, QuickBooks & Quickbooks Online (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of tax regulations and accounting principles.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with clients.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold professional ethics.
