Overview:
The Senior Human Resources Generalist provides clients with product offerings in a consultative fashion while also ensuring overall client satisfaction with products and services provided by NYS Certified PEO. Serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) with small to mid-size clients with HR business needs. Maintains continuing relationship with client contacts and acts as the primary point of contact for Professional Employer Organization (PEO). Works collaboratively with internal partners so that clients are provided with effective resources to comply with all HR requirements and enhance employee culture and relations. this function will be responsible for providing guidance to clients in relation to Federal and State (NY) HR/Employment Law. this function WILL NOT be responsible for administering benefits or providing direct payroll oversight; there are internal members of the human resources team that focus on those areas.
Responsibilities:
»Services clients both remotely and in-person and provides consultative guidance to ensure appropriate resolution of client issues. Partners and collaborates with internal departments/subject matter experts in delivering actionable responses or plans to client’s concerns.
»Provides consultative guidance and advice to clients in the areas of Performance Management, Recruiting and Retention Strategies, Compensation, Performance Development, Employee Engagement, Employee Relations, Compliance, Regulations, and Culture Enhancement.
»Responsible for ensuring shared employees are compliant with all required training/certifications.
»Communicates and interprets HR policies and procedures while providing remedies for any employee relations issue that may arise. Seeks appropriate guidance and support from HR Director and Legal counsel as applicable.
»Maintains an consciousness of HR trends and conducts training located on available resources.
»Independently lead the creation, review, and enhancement of employee handbooks utilizing significant software to ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment with company policies, legal guidelines, and industry best practices.
»Promotes high-quality customer service to clients.
Qualifications required
»Bachelor's Degree or significant practice (5+ years) in a HR Generalist or managerial capacity
» capability to work onsite Monday thru Friday in Poughkeepsie
»Exceptional attention to detail with strong communication acumen; written and verbal.
»Capacity to commute locally up to 25% of the time
Compensation:
