Registered Respiratory Therapist Job Details

• Location: Frankfort, KY 40601 (Kentucky healthcare jobs)
• Facility: 174-bed Acute Care Hospital
• Setting: Hospital – Acute Care, Emergency Department (ED), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
• Employment Type: Travel Contract
• Start Date: August 18, 2025
• End Date: November 17, 2025
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Self-Scheduling: 4-week schedule system; every other weekend required
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1230 - $1270
• Modern Respiratory Equipment: Bipaps, Aerogen, Hamilton C-1, Airvos, Avea Vents
• Documentation System: Meditec

Registered Respiratory Therapist Qualifications

• Active Kentucky State RRT License (required for Kentucky respiratory therapist jobs)
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist in a hospital setting
• NICU experience preferred
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP (on-site NRP certification available)
• Proficiency in arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis
• Ability to work night shifts and every other weekend
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Dress code: Any color scrubs except royal blue

Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality respiratory care to patients in ED, ICU, NICU, and inpatient units
• Operate and manage advanced respiratory therapy equipment (Bipap, Aerogen, Hamilton C-1, Airvos, Avea Vents)
• Perform and interpret ABG analysis
• Accurately document patient care and procedures in the Meditec system
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Comply with hospital policies, safety protocols, and best practices in respiratory therapy
• Participate in self-scheduling and maintain flexibility for night and weekend shifts
