Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and progressive Tax Manager, Provisions to lead our corporate tax accounting, compliance, and ASC 740 reporting functions. In this role, you will be responsible for the preparation, review, and audit of income tax provisions for large, multi-state, and global corporate entities.

The ideal candidate brings a strong background from a large, national public accounting or large regional firm, combined with deep technical expertise in US GAAP, corporate income tax laws, and engagement management.

Key Responsibilities

• ASC 740 Management: Oversee and execute the end-to-end preparation, review, and audit of complex corporate income tax provisions (ASC 740).

• Compliance & Consulting: Manage broad-based statutory income tax compliance and consulting initiatives, including multi-state and local income taxes, international tax activities, and transfer pricing.

• Engagement Management: Lead tax engagements from planning through completion, ensuring timely delivery, risk management, and alignment with corporate strategy.

• Technical Advisory: Apply strong analytical skills to interpret complex US GAAP and corporate income tax regulations, providing actionable insights and technical tax guidance.

• Stakeholder Communication: Deliver exceptional client service and internal support, presenting technical tax concepts clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Credentials & Education

• Active CPA (State of New York) OR a JD with an active law license is strictly required.

Professional Experience

• 4 to 7 years of progressive tax compliance and/or tax consulting experience.

• Public Accounting Background: Recent experience within a large national public accounting firm or a large regional firm.

• Corporate Scale: Proven experience supporting large, multi-state, national, or global corporate entities.

Technical & Soft Skills

• Deep expertise in ASC 740 (Accounting for Income Taxes) and US GAAP .

• Strong working knowledge of state/local tax (SALT), international taxation, and transfer pricing.

• Advanced analytical, technical, and tax technology/accounting skills.

• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with ONESOURCE Tax Provision (OTP) software is highly desirable.
