Warehouse Associate
Sanico is a family-owned wholesale distributor of janitorial and cleaning supplies and trusted supply chain partner to our customers across Central NY and Northeast PA. We are looking to add to our growing Syracuse team. The Warehouse Associate is integral to our warehouse and logistical operations through the handling of inbound and outbound inventory. The position specifically involves receiving shipments, stocking inventory, picking and packing orders, preparing deliveries and loading trucks. We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented individual who is eager to contribute to a collaborative team and help us "raise the bar" for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Receive and check in inbound inventory shipments
- Stock newly received inventory promptly
- Ensure proper rotation of inventory
- Pick outbound orders for next-day deliveries
- Load Sanico delivery trucks, typically with a pallet jack or hand truck
- Pick, pack, ship of orders delivered via third-party carrier
- Movement of inventory using forklift or pallet jacks
- Backup delivery truck or van driver (as needed)
- Assist with off-site dispenser installation (as needed)
Qualifications
- Positive, professional attitude REQUIRED
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation REQUIRED
- Warehouse experience PREFERRED; willing to train motivated candidates
- Forklift, pallet jack, hand truck experience PREFERRED
- Physically capable of being on your feet for 8-hour shift
- Physically capable of lifting up to 60 pounds
- Work record of strong attendance, reliability
- Forklift certification PREFERRED
- Straight Truck driving experience PREFERRED
- Basic computer skills. Able to learn company's ERP system.
Compensation
Hourly pay range: $18.50 – $22.00
Full-time,
Monday through Friday, 800a - 430p
