Registered Nurse (RN) – Ambulatory Care
Location - Syracuse, NY
Specialty: Ambulatory / Primary Care
Shift: Days – 5x8 (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
Duration: 13 Weeks
Position Overview
Seeking an experienced Ambulatory Care Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a primary care outpatient setting.
The RN will perform comprehensive nursing assessments, deliver patient-centered care, and collaborate with providers to support continuity of care. Candidates must be comfortable functioning independently with minimal orientation.
Required Experience
Minimum 1.5 years of recent RN experience (within the past 2 years) in an acute care facility of comparable size and level
Primary Care experience required
Experience in hospitals of equal or greater size (travelers only)
Preferred Experience
Ambulatory care experience
Urgent care experience
EPIC Electronic Medical Records experience
Key Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive patient assessments
Provide direct outpatient nursing care
Assist providers with examinations and procedures
Administer medications and treatments
Educate patients on treatment plans and preventive care
Coordinate care and follow-up services
Document accurately in EMR
Perform majority of patient care skills with minimal supervision
Required Certifications & Licensure
Active New York State RN License
BLS Certification
Must be eligible for recertification if needed
Additional Requirements
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
No history of professional license suspension or investigation
No involvement as a defendant in professional liability claims
Verification of legal right to work in the U.S.
Successful completion of pre-employment health clearance
Subject to drug screening and background check
