Production Shift Manager
What we ask
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Food Science, Food Safety, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience leading teams in a food, beverage, pharmaceutical, or similar manufacturing environment
- Prior leadership experience in a unionized environment preferred
- Strong knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies such as 5S and Six Sigma
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop hourly production teams
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work varying shifts in a 24/7 operation

Vacancy description
As a Production Shift Manager, you are accountable for meeting production standards and responding quickly when performance is off track. You will lead and coordinate all production activities on your shift, ensuring labor is effectively planned, work is executed safely, and handovers between shifts are smooth and complete.
You will maintain a strong presence on the production floor, ensuring compliance with safety, GMP, quality, regulatory, and union requirements. This includes monitoring equipment performance, production KPIs, documentation accuracy, and adherence to SOPs. You will analyze trends, address issues in real time, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and inefficiencies.
In this role, you will lead and develop your team through coaching, feedback, training, and performance management, while promoting a positive, engaged, and collaborative shift culture. As part of the site leadership team, you will participate in projects, continuous improvement initiatives, and employee-related matters such as interviewing, training, and performance improvement.
