PAT Staff Nurse

: PAT Staff Nurse -FT M-F Days, UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital United Health Services is seeking a PAT Staff Nurse -FT M-F Days to join our Nursing Admin 03 department at UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital in Norwich, NY. This position is benefits eligible. Shift: Day Hours per week: 40 Salary range: $36.03 - $48.17 per hour, depending on experience. PAT Staff Nurse -FT M-F Days / Overview Summary Experienced candidates may be eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $15,000. The Registered Nurse (RN) protects, promotes, and optimizes health and abilities, prevention of illness and injury, and the alleviation of suffering through the diagnosis and treatment of human response and through advocacy in the care of individuals and families. The RN is responsible and accountable for compliance to all standards of practice and professional development in accordance with the New York State Nurse Practice Act, United Health Services policies, ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, and the Bill of Patient Rights. The RN promotes a caring and healing environment for patient-centered care. Key Responsibilities and Expectations Education/Experience Minimum Required:

• A graduate of an accredited school of Nursing

Preferred:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing
• Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting

License/Certification Minimum Required:

• Current NYS RN License

Preferred:

• Professional certification in a related nursing specialty
• Relevant skills certification (i.e., ACLS, PALS, TNCC) as required by home unit assigned.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8-4:30 with 30 min lunch Nurse is responsible for completing chart reviews, applying critical thinking to evaluate the individual preoperative needs of each patient, communicating with anesthesia providers, identifying patients that require medical clearances/optimizations, interviewing patients both over the phone and in person, perform EKGs and phlebotomy, provide education and clear instructions to patients, answer questions and discuss post-surgical care. • Exposure to equipment cleaning solutions and disinfectants.
• PPE (Eyewear, Masks, Face shields, Shoe covers, and Gloves) as required by Infection Control policies
