About the role

We are seeking a warm and energetic Café Attendant to join the Savory Hospitality team at one of our onsite amenity cafés. Our amenity cafés are one of our unique service offerings that offer team members the experience of working alongside the Savory team, as well as directly interfacing with our onsite client.

Our ideal candidate will anticipate and address the needs of the company and our clientele with a heavy focus on hospitality, service, health, and safety standards, and, of course, all things food and beverage.

This role is a key addition to our growing team. Here are some examples of the primary responsibilities of our onsite amenity Café Attendant:

• Craft specialty drinks, coffee, tea and smoothies to perfection
• Assembles cold and hot food options following Savory’s gold standards and safety rules
• Embody the Savory spirit of warm hospitality and high-quality service while maintaining a strong sense of professionalism
• Serve as a wealth of knowledge and brand ambassador on all food and beverage offerings to educate guests and team members as requested
• Promptly communicate any machine or tech issues, inventory shortages, or client dissatisfaction to the supervisor or other manager on duty
• Strong sense of awareness to cleanliness operations within a food establishment
• Support your team in other areas as necessary

Your experience should show us the following:

• At least 2 years of experience in a high-volume environment crafting drinks in both the coffee/tea and smoothie worlds
• Strong guest experience and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to utilize quick thinking and conflict resolution skills to resolve guest issues in accordance with the Savory brand standards
• You are a team player with a warm personality and honest values

Job requirements

• NY Food Handler’s Certification, or willingness to obtain one within one month of hire
• Capability to maintain a stationary position, often standing for prolonged periods of time
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule daytime Monday – Friday and occasionally including nights, weekends, or holidays
