Job Description

We are seeking a versatile Structural Engineer to perform engineering analysis and design for bridge and transportation-related structures. The primary focus will be on bridge structural design and inspection, with opportunities to serve as the lead designer on simple to moderately complex assignments. The role involves assisting in site investigations to document existing conditions, including bridge inspections, performing site inspections for work engineered by our office, completing and reviewing design calculations, and assisting in the preparation of drawings and specifications. You will also provide responses and solutions to issues during the construction administration phase of projects and coordinate work products with other in-house engineering staff and architects.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural engineering analysis and design for bridge and transportation-related structures.

• Serve as the lead designer on simple to moderately complex assignments.

• Assist in site investigations to document existing conditions, including bridge inspections.

• Perform site inspections for work engineered by our office.

• Complete and review design calculations; assist in the preparation of drawings and specifications.

• Provide responses and solutions to issues during the construction administration phase of projects.

• Coordinate work product with other in-house engineering staff and architects.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering.

• 7+ years of experience in Structural Engineering.

• Understanding and application of code requirements.

• Experience with NYCDOT, NYSDOT, NJDOT.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.

• Experience with concrete, structural steel, and masonry structures.

• Professional Engineer (PE) license.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Master's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering is a plus.

• NY/NJ PE license is advantageous.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of New York, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
