Mechanical Integrity Inspector Intern

Encorus Group is seeking a Mechanical Integrity Inspector Intern (Part-Time) to join our Mechanical Integrity Services team in West Seneca, NY. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain real-world experience in inspection, testing, and evaluation of industrial equipment—all while working alongside seasoned experts in the field. .
What You’ll Do

• Assist with field inspection and testing services for fixed equipment, including:
  • API-510 Pressure Vessels
  • API-570 Process Piping
  • API-653 / STI SP001 Storage Tanks
• Support non-destructive examination (NDE) activities and pursue certifications through on-the-job training.
• Use software tools like AutoCAD, UltraPipe, and Excel to prepare inspection drawings and evaluate equipment fitness for service.
• Read and interpret Process and Instrumentation Drawings (P&ID) and produce accurate isometric drawings of piping and equipment.
• Research and apply federal, state, and local regulations related to equipment compliance.
• Maintain and operate inspection and testing equipment (such as ultrasonic equipment and air monitors).
• Follow strict health and safety practices, including the use of PPE and respirators when required.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma required; currently pursuing an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (engineering, drafting, or similar) preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); familiarity with AutoCAD is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license with ability to travel to field sites.
• Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and vision test (including color blindness, near/far vision).
• Comfortable working indoors, outdoors, and in various weather conditions.
• Physically able to lift up to 30 lbs, climb ladders, and access confined spaces.
