Position Summary
The Plant Operations Manager oversees daily manufacturing operations, ensuring efficient, safe, and cost-effective production while meeting quality standards and organizational goals. This role includes oversight and strategic planning for production management, maintenance, safety compliance, team leadership, and process improvement to maximize profitability, performance, and quality while meeting all safety, health, and environmental requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of an operating plan aligned with division, business, and manufacturing strategies to meet key performance objectives.
- Lead and develop production teams, foster collaboration, and drive performance to meet manufacturing and commercial objectives.
- Provide focus and direction to plant employees and leadership teams to assure knowledge and support of plant manufacturing priorities and requirements.
- Breaks down broad strategies and goals into clearly defined, measurable objectives and activities.
- Utilize operational metrics to analyze and monitor productivity, identify improvement opportunities, set performance targets, and optimize headcount.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing and other continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
- Build effective relationships within the business, plant staff groups, and with key customers and suppliers where required. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers to achieve business goals.
- Shows enthusiasm toward being a member of the group; actively participates in team meetings and activities; leverages the skills and interests of coworkers to achieve goals and solve problems; supports team decisions.
- Drive accountability and expectations to develop and maintain a high performing, effective workforce.
- Manage production schedules, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
- Oversee equipment maintenance and ensure operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
Experiences/Education - Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
- Proven leadership in manufacturing or engineering, including supervisory roles preferred.
- Experience driving continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration.
- Must be an effective problem solver and communicator.
- Strong ability to grow talent and foster team development.
- Progressive responsibilities in operations and/or engineering leadership, including operations or engineering department supervisor experience.
- Experience coordinating activities within functional responsibility and collaborating with other groups to achieve results.

Experiences/Education - Desired
- Experience with diverse manufacturing processes and global operations preferred
- Exposure to global manufacturing and business through work or project assignments preferred.
- Exposure to and understanding of the corporate network and resources preferred.

The range for this position is $148,281.00 - $203,887.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
