Software Engineer II - Mobile (AI-Powered Consumer Experiences)

StubHub is seeking a Software Engineer II to join a new, high-impact mobile engineering team building AI-powered consumer experiences that will shape the next evolution of our marketplace.

This team is rethinking how fans discover, evaluate, and purchase live events through intelligent, adaptive, and deeply personalized mobile experiences. Rather than layering AI onto existing flows, we are building new mobile-first interaction models powered by intelligent systems embedded directly into our platform.

As a mobile engineer on this team, you will work closely with product, design, backend, and AI engineers to ship early-stage initiatives from prototype to production. You will have meaningful ownership over user-facing experiences used by millions of fans globally.

This team sits within our Consumer App Foundations organization and operates at the intersection of mobile engineering, intelligent systems, and rapid experimentation.

We partner closely with AI, platform, product, and design teams to bring intelligent mobile experiences to life.

What You'll Do:

• Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain AI-driven mobile features used by millions of users


• Develop high-quality mobile experiences using React Native and native platform capabilities


• Integrate backend and AI services into real-time mobile workflows


• Contribute to architectural decisions around performance, scalability, and maintainability


• Collaborate cross-functionally to iterate on early-stage product ideas


• Participate in rapid experimentation and data-driven iteration cycles


• Debug production issues and continuously improve mobile system health

You will have meaningful autonomy and accountability. Your work will influence engagement, conversion, and revenue across a global marketplace.

What You've Done:

• 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience


• Strong experience building and shipping production mobile applications (iOS, Android, or cross-platform)


• Experience integrating APIs and backend services into mobile applications


• Solid understanding of mobile architecture, state management, and performance optimization


• Experience shipping consumer-facing features at scale


• Comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast-evolving environments


• Proven ability to take ownership from implementation through production support

Nice to have:

• Experience with React Native (not required)


• Experience integrating AI or ML-powered services into mobile applications


• Experience building personalization or intelligent interaction features


• Exposure to experimentation frameworks or feature flagging systems


• Marketplace or high-scale consumer product experience

The anticipated gross base pay range is below for this role. Actual compensation will vary depending on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and competencies. Base annual salary is one component of StubHub’s total compensation and competitive benefits package, which includes equity, 401(k), paid time off, paid parental leave, and comprehensive health benefits.

Salary Range

$165,000—$200,000 USD
