Sustainable & Impact Investing Specialist - GWM Alternatives Platform

We are looking for a Sustainable & Impact Investing Specialist to: • conduct initial and ongoing investment due diligence on sustainability and impact focused private markets strategies across the capital structure, including private equity, private credit, real estate and infrastructure• evaluate managers’ investment processes, track records, attribution, portfolio construction, risk management capabilities, and sustainability/impact frameworks in close collaboration with the GWM Sustainable & Impact Investing team
• source differentiated sustainability and impact investment opportunities tailored to ultra high net worth clients
• partner with internal colleagues to deliver informed advice and recommendations to investment committees, financial advisors, and clients
• develop and present comprehensive written memos for review by the UGA Platform Investment Committee
• maintain rigorous post investment monitoring, including leading update calls and meetings with fund managers, attending annual meetings and onsite visits, preparing annual monitoring reports, and working with the GWM Sustainable & Impact Investing team on impact outcome monitoring
• collaborate with internal UGA teams, including Operational Due Diligence, Product Management, Product Development, Sales, Legal, and Compliance, to support the full investment lifecycle
• foster a collegial team environment that encourages idea sharing, ongoing learning, and cross functional collaboration
• stay current on industry trends, regulatory developments, and market events affecting sustainable and impact investing funds, managers, clients, and the broader ecosystem Detailed salary information :

UBS Asset Management's Unified Global Alternatives (UGA) business manages over USD 300 billion across private markets, real assets, and hedge funds, offering global access to leading managers and differentiated investment opportunities. As we continue to grow our sustainable and impact‑focused private markets platform, we are seeking an analyst to lead due diligence, portfolio insights, and idea generation across sustainable and impact strategies.
You’ll join the GWM (Global Wealth Management) Alternatives Platform team, a multi‑asset‑class investment due diligence team responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and approving private markets and hedge fund opportunities for UBS Global Wealth Management clients. Based in New York, you’ll collaborate closely with colleagues across the UGA platform, including teams in London and Zurich. Our team sits at the center of UBS’s unified alternatives offering, working with top‑tier managers and operating in a fast‑paced, highly collaborative environment. You will also work hand-in-hand with the GWM Sustainable & Impact Investing team to stay ahead of sustainable and impact investing market trends, maintain market mapping, and deliver solutions to meet the needs of GWM financial advisors and their clients.Your expertise
• ideally 7+ years of experience in financial markets
• prior experience with investment due diligence for private markets funds
• prior exposure to sustainable and impact investing and familiarity with the universe of relevant funds
• existing network of relationships with alternative asset managers is preferred
• experience working with financial advisors and high net worth clients is preferred
• excellent written, presentation and communication skills; ability to present complex ideas and key messages effectively and in simple terms to others
• strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
• good judgment and discretion working with highly confidential information
• ability to perform well in a fast-paced, dynamic, team environment
• demonstrated ability to analyze and solve problems and to manage multiple tasks
• Undergraduate degree required
• CFA, CPA, and/or CAIA not required but highly favorable
• appropriate securities licenses, including the Series 7 and Series 66, are required or will need to be obtained upon hire
