Additional Responsibilities

• Determine and transmit material forecasts using fleet assignments, work plans, and analyses of parts usage and availability, within budgetary constraints. Develop, where appropriate, bills of materials to make more efficient use of maintenance and supply chain operations. Monitor depot Maintenance Material budgets. Manage a full range of labor relations activities; develop work assignments for maintenance line supervisors; implement discipline; develop rule-compliance criteria; assist with preparation for labor negotiations and hourly and supervisory work picks.
• Develop procedures and work practices. Assist in the implementation of new procedures throughout the department. Troubleshoot daily parts issues with the aim of maintaining bus service and availability for individual locations. Review the shop control log for buses out of service or trippers due to no stock. An efficient and timely way of obtaining material and follow-through to ensure timely delivery, work with depot operating personnel to research and identify material.

• Manage and order call-in material within budgetary and space constraints. Work with depot operations, the call- in desk, and the vendor to ensure timely and appropriate delivery of non-inventory material.
• Work directly with Supply Logistics satellite storerooms, reviewing fleet changeouts, appropriate min/reorder levels, and obsolete/inactive material in order to maximize use of limited storeroom space. Coordinate maintenance plans with Supply Logistics personnel to maximize overall delivery of service to maintenance operations.
• Assist local maintenance operations and procurement to ensure timely and appropriate delivery of non-inventory material bulk consumables for fleet support.
• Coordinate with supply chain management in all agencies to minimize excess material disposal.
• Review inventory material reorders for appropriate stocking levels, assisting procurement with the commodity management process.
• Other duties as assigned.
