Position Summary:
The Laundry Aide is responsible for ensuring all linens, garments, and personal items are cleaned, folded, and distributed in a timely manner. This role is essential to maintaining the comfort and satisfaction of our residents and the smooth operation of our facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect, sort, and launder linens, clothing, and other items in accordance with established protocols.

• Operate and maintain washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently.

• Inspect items for wear and damage, reporting issues to the supervisor.

• Fold and distribute clean laundry to designated areas or residents’ rooms.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the laundry area.

• Follow infection control procedures to prevent cross-contamination.

• Assist with inventory management, ensuring an adequate supply of linens and laundry products.

• Respond promptly to special requests from residents, families, or staff.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role is a plus but not required.

• Ability to operate laundry equipment and follow safety guidelines.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Physical ability to lift, push, pull, and carry loads of up to 50 pounds.

• Reliable, punctual, and a team player with a positive attitude.
