Duties Description ITS provides operational support to state agencies on a 24x7x365 basis; some positions may be required to provide this critical service at any time.Under the direction of a Manager Information Technology Services 2, SG29, within the Dedicated Support team, Office of Mental Health/Office of Addiction Services and Supports portfolio, specific duties include but are not limited to:- Lead and implement information security and compliance programs.- Lead and resolve security threats to agency information systems,- Serve as information security expert and evaluate systems and contracts for alignment with agency and State information security policies.- Supervise staff and resources dedicated to the OASAS Dedicated Team.- Assist in planning, coordination, and response for internal and external security audits, ensuring timely collection of evidence and alignment with applicable compliance requirements. Additionally, assist with review of audit findings and appropriate remediation activities ensuring corrective actions are prioritized, assigned, and completed within required timeframes.- Monitor and stay aware of information security industry trends, tools, and techniques.- Serve as a liaison between DCT leadership and ISO, representing agency interests while supporting statewide cybersecurity initiatives.- Assist OASAS in complying with information security policies, standards, protocols, and best-practices.- Assist OASAS in evaluating, understanding, and appropriately managing information security risks. - Ensure security engineering and architecture considerations are addressed in services and systems designs.- Advise OASAS on security considerations related to procurement of products and services.- Perform additional duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications Non-competitive: Seven years of information technology, cybersecurity, or information assurance experience*, including one year at the supervisory level.Substitutions:A bachelor's or higher-level degree in any field including or supplemented by 15 semester credit hours in computer science or related field substitutes for three years of required experience; any bachelor's substitutes for two years of required experience.An associate degree with 15 semester credit hours in computer science or related field may substitute for one year of required experience. Candidates in a bachelor's degree program with at least 15 semester credit hours in computer science or related field may substitute such credits for one year of required experience.A master's degree or higher in computer science or related field substitutes for one year of required experience.

Additional Comments ITS will not offer permanent employment to any candidate unless the candidate provides documentation that they are authorized to accept work in the United States on a permanent basis.
