Job Purpose:
To provide essential administrative and technical support to the Project Management and Engineering teams, ensuring the smooth execution of projects. The Junior Project Engineer will contribute to the efficient organization of project data, supply chain management, and material procurement, while learning and developing the necessary skills to grow in the field of project engineering.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in expediting communication with customers and suppliers both internally and externally.
- Help track and manage customer requests and contract deliverables.
- Support project engineering with customer follow-ups for technical and commercial clarifications as needed.
- Review and process customer and vendor component drawings.
- Assist in the change order process for scope deviations.
- Organize and maintain project data.
- Provide support for supply chain management and engineered material procurement, including creating inquiries to sub-suppliers for component selection and/or costing.
- Coordinate shipping logistics.
- Collaborate with project team members and escalate issues in a timely manner when necessary.
- Perform general administrative and clerical duties as required.
Job Requirements:
- 1-2 years of relevant experience required
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technologies, or related field highly preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Computer-aided drafting experience preferred
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Detail-oriented and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and develop professionally within the field of project engineering
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test
